Success at first BUTTS Leg

Hi Guys

Last Saturday saw Warwick competing in the first BUTTS Leg of the year at Nottingham Trent, with Nottingham and Derby also in attendance.

Nottingham Trent BUTTS Team

With an under strength Nottingham team not reaching the heights from the previous way, there was a clear path to success for our team. We won a variety of medals from both the Novice and Experienced categories:

  • Jorge Lindley – Experienced Gents Recure Silver
  • Matt Cranham – Experienced Gents Recurve Bronze
  • Rachael Hutchison – Experienced Ladies Recurve Gold
  • Jack Nurpetlian – Barebow Gold
  • Jacob Kerr – Barebow Silver
  • Luke Rieman – Novice Gents Recurve Silver
  • Emma Davis – Novice Ladies Recurve Gold
I’d also like to announce that Anton Delgado also won the Novice Gents Barebow category, but due to the way the medals are awarded for our league, all Barebow competitors compete against each other irrespective of experience and gender, so unfortunately Anton doesn’t receive a medal.

 

Both the Experienced and Novice teams, the best four scores from both categories, won their respective team competition as well. We’re waiting on the second half of this BUTTS Leg to happen this Saturday so we can see where both teams lie, but it’s looking like both teams are in with a good chance of leading both of their championships.

 

We’re hoping to continue our success at our BUTTS Leg which is being held on November 26th at Westwood Games Hall, and there will be an email shortly announcing who has made the team. If you want to be considered for the team, then please shoot a Portsmouth during a session as this is the only way we are able to  view your progress throughout the year, and we’d like to take as many people to competitions as possible as it’s a fun experience, with potential to win shinies (I got my first BUTTS medal this weekend).

Session Times for Autumn Term 2011

Hey guys,

Just a quick note about session times. These sessions all take place at Westwood Games Hall, and are as follows:

TASTER SESSIONS (Week 1!! Experienced sessions as normal.)
Wednesday 2:30pm-5pm
Sunday 1:30pm-3:30pm

REGULAR SESSIONS
Novices (when coaching is available and targets can be moved closer):
Wednesday 2pm-5pm
Sunday 1pm-3:30pm

Experienced (no coaching):
Monday 2pm-4pm
Tuesday 9am-11am
Friday 2pm-4pm
