Posted by Ioana Stanciu on 5th December 2019

Last weekend we hosted the annual Warwick Open Novice Tournament at our very own university, which proved to be as popular as ever! It offered our newer archers the chance to compete against students with similar levels of experiences from other universities and to see how far they have come this competition season!

In the team category, Clement Sorbier, Sam Fong and Joel Davidson scored a total of 1384 points to claim the bronze medal.

In the Novice Gent Recurve category, Clement Sorbier and Joel Davidson claimed the first 2 spots, Jack Magilton claimed the 11th spot, Alexey Baryshev the 14th, Noelito Parina the 17th, Hao Sun the 18th, Jinyu Li the 21st, Tianlong Zhong the 28th and Callum Wells and Matei Mazilu the 31th and 32th spots respectively.

In the Novice Lady Recurve category, Yolanda Yeung took the 3rd place and Yezi Wang the 14th place.

In the Novice Barebow category, for Gents, Sam Fong claimed the 2nd spot and for Ladies, Lou Simon and Daisy Scott claimed the 1st and 5th places respectively.

And last, but not least, Asher Reynolds came in 5th in the Gent Recurve Category.
