On Sunday 4th December 2021, members of UWAC took part in the Archery GB National Indoor Championships, hosted at Stoneleigh Park. The team from UWAC consisted of Leigh Hewitt, Jodie Green, Hannah Burnage, James Woodgate, and Chris Woodgate.
Qualification positions in the Recurve Mens division were 4th and 44th from James Woodgate and Chris Woodgate respectively, while in the Ladies Recurve division Leigh Hewitt, Hannah Burnage, and Jodie Green qualified 21st, 23rd, and 40th respectively.
The top 32 from each division were then taken through to individual matchplay. James won his first three matches to take him through to the semi-finals, where he finished 4th. Hannah and Leigh each lost their first round match to finish 17th overall.
Special mentions should also go to a number of UWAC alumni present, including Tom Hall, Emma Davis, Sam Armstrong, Sarah Allaway, and Eleanor Blakey!
